What we learn.
ReadingDuring Reader's Workshop students select their own text and read independently for 40 minutes, or longer. At this time I work with individuals or small groups on specific areas of need. We enjoy guest read alouds if you'd like to visit the classroom!
WritingIn Writer's Workshop students write various pieces including narratives, opinion, research, and informative. I model writing skills and conference with students to reinforce writing skills. We'd love you to join us to celebrate our writing at the end of the year!
MathWe utilize a math program, Pearson Investigations (follow the link below to see the program online) which promotes learning through group exploration, interaction, collaboration, and discussion. We play games, solve problems, and engage in guided discoveries to develop our math and social skills!
