About Me
I grew up in Cheshire, having attended Darcey, Doolittle, Chapman, Dodd, and CHS. Through my experience as both a student and educator in Cheshire I am familiar with the strong commitment and value placed on education in this community. My goal is to work collaboratively with families to create an environment which promotes curiosity, collaboration, caring, and a life-long love of learning for each student. Our classroom emphasizes social and emotional learning along with academics. We utilize the Responsive Classroom approach to classroom management and instruction. The members of our classroom community work together, utilizing various resources and technologies to inquire, examine, and ultimately understand the world and the ideas all around us.
Personally, my passions include playing soccer, rock climbing, and running/hiking with my two pups, Naya (3y old husky) and Nash (6mo old golden retriever). I recently got married and my wife and I like to stay as active as we can. We took up skiing last year and hope to get beyond green dots this winter. I love being creative through painting, landscaping, and home improvement projects. If it's something I haven't done before and I can learn a new skill, even better! I hope to pass that love of learning on to each student I'm fortunate to teach.
